Big Thief comes through with a soothing, exciting, and captivating. The passion and attention to detail are heard through the production as well as the metaphorical lyrics you really have to listen to multiple times to truly grip on to. Adrianne Lenker is truly one of a kind-- her vocals are stunning and her nasal voice is incredibly unique and nothing like I'd heard before, adding extra flavor and depth to the tracks on this album.
"Time Escaping" is one of my favorite tracks, with its chaotic distorted percussion and super catchy melody. "Simulation Swarm" is a very hypnotic and simple track, pulling you in and keeping you there throughout the song, and is one of Adrianne's best vocal performances throughout the album.
This album is one that I'll be replaying over and over again throughout the year.
